Lorenzo Tamburini

Since I was a child I have been lucky enough to go to sea with my family, becoming more and more passionate about boats. My interest in technology, mechanics and innovation led me to study Naval Architercture and Marine Engineering at the University of Trieste.

At the end of my studies, in 2020 I started my career in NavalHEAD as Hydrodynamics & Propulsion Department specialist, transforming what I dreamed of as a child into a profession.

I really like to travel, both for pleasure and for work. I find that travel is a great opportunity to discover not only different cultures and ways of thinking, but also a great opportunity for yourself in order to know your limits and open your mind.

In my work, I am attracted by new projects and the constant research for new solutions, especially when these require a 360-degree collaboration with the whole team. Currently I deal with basic design, stability calculations in accordance with current safety standards, comfort and hull hydrodynamic optimization through the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software.
